| I was wondering what exactly a the appointed dictator does when there is a military crisis and what stops him from taking complete control. |

In a military crises the dictator would be in total control of everything, the law, the military, and the rest of Rome. If a dictator broke the law by staying in power for longer than 6 months, the rest of the people, and more importantly the army, would get mad and over-through the dictator. |
