I understood from class on Friday that we were to start a forum thread on the Marbury vs. Madison reading? So unless I am hideously wrong... let's get started.

I believe that we were supposed to post this weekend, so i'm going to go ahead with it since i was a bit confused. i found a lot of the language in Marshal's letter difficult. One part that really got me was at the end of page 88 where Marshal writes, "In some cases, then, the constitution must be looked into by the judges. And if they can open it at all, what part of it are they forbidden to read or to obey?" There was some other stuff around it, but that was what stood out to me. I really don't understand at all what he is getting at here, i think he's saying something about how the supreme court shouldn't be able to use the con. to judge cases, but i have no idea what the rational is behind that.
if someone could try and explain it it would be much appreciated.

So I'm not entirely sure what we would be posting about here, or if I did the right homework as if didn't seem to be up on the website. But from what I think was the right reading, that tripped me up too Kayla, I'd love some confirmation on that.
