So one of the things that we touched on briefly in class is the power of the term 'Racist' and how it may be one of the worst things a white person can be called.
I have been thinking about this for the last couple of days and am kinda curious to what other people think about this, especially if you aren't white. This is assuming, of course, that people actually come to this forum. |

I remember in class you said "white people are raised thinking that being called racist is the wort thing" or something along those lines and I couldn't understand that. Why is it such a big deal if you are, thats who you are, there is room for change if you want to but you shouldn't kill yourself over it. In class it seems that some people try not to be racist and think about the best way to phrase their comments/question/whatever they may be, so that they don't come off as racist and that just makes it worst. I'd rather you show me your real thoughts rather than hide behind the idea of making me feel comfortable hence keeping you from being portrayed as racist _________________ Check out my blog at abcabetterchance.blogspot.com
