What are the important features/characteristics of his biological system?

As Eric said, Aristotle based his biological system on hierarchies. I think he considered the human body most important for biologists to study, because he used it as a "standard for comparison" (p. 11) to study other animals.
He also considered the heart as the central organ, "the seat of emotion and sensation." p. 13 other organs/ body parts were important, but aristotle cosnidered the heart the primary organ of the body.

Responding to anastatia: I found the academic language annoying too, so i dont think its necessary.

my question: why did we all learn that people thought the earth was flat before galileo? (i think galileo)
